While attending OpenForce '08 in Las Vegas this past week I received a very unexpected email from INETA, one that left me shocked and honored and humbled all the same time. A weird feeling to say the least.
In a nut-shell here is what they had to say:
We would like to extend our thanks for your participation in the INETA Community Champion program and your commitment to the developer community. You faced some challenging competition yet your accomplishments speak for themselves. The Community Champion team is thrilled to inform you that you are one of our top ten winners for Q3 2008. Congratulations Antonio!
As a token of appreciation, INETA, is awarding the 10 recipients of the award with one of the following prizes:
- MSDN Professional Subscription (download)
- Xbox 360
- $300 Gift Check
Since I already have an MSDN subscription, it looks like I'll be a proud owner of (another -- yes I already own a Xbox 360) Xbox 360. I'll be taking this one to our office for everyone to unwind wind when the going get rough and settle our differences with a game of boxing.
I would like to thank INETA for the award, and congratulate them on the great work that they do each day to foster and support the great community of .net professionals. Congratulations also to the other 9 winners of the award, who like me, probably feel that this award is a testament that our collective contributions to the community do not go unappreciated.
